"I felt in safe hands"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

From being taken into emergency until I left the hospital, my care was excellent. The Doctors were amazing, reassuring and determined to get to the root of my problem. I felt in safe hands, I was never left on my own, no sitting around waiting. If the Drs. weren't with me, I was attended my nurses and auxilliaries at all times. A 14hr stay at the Hospital got to the root of my problem and I am now on the way to recovery.

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

Dear jaldon,

Thank you very much for taking the time to tell me about your recent experience in A&E at the new hospital. I am glad that not only the medical team got you on the road to recovery quickly, but that you were treated with such care and compassion from all members of the team at all times. I am pleased to pass on your kind comments to all of the staff involved.

Thanks again and best wishes for your continued recovery,

Lorna
