I have a problem with my joints which often leads to injury, I tried to explain to the nurse that my injuries are so frequent that I often don't remember them. I felt dismissed and not listened to as I explained my hand was extreme pain. I said as it had hurt previously I felt like I had done further damage as it hurt so much more. I was dismissed as not having an injury despite stating that I can't ever really remember hurting myself because of my condition is frequent. The nurse then patronised me and told me it was an injury clinic and that I need to see my GP. It is very likely I have sustained an injury and will probably be referred to an xray from my gp, I understand not everyone understands my condition I just feel the nurse could have at least listened to me and not debated whether I have had an injury with me. I already felt physically bad and this ordeal made me feel worse.
"not great if you have a lesser known condirion"
