"Pleasantly surprised!"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

After hearing lots of horror stories regarding North Middlesex Maternity Unit, I was left feeling very anxious and apprehensive to give birth to my daughter but have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the staff and birthing centre itself. As soon as I went in I was seen straight away and then confirmed to book in. No waiting about (could have been due to going in a 6am) birthing suite 8 is a lovely big clean room with plenty of facilities to use. I have to mention the two fabulous midwives I had really did a great job in being supportive and delivering. The one thing I will say is that North Middlesex Antenatal Clinic does let it down, due to rude staff and it being very, very busy but apart from that the birthing centre I couldn't fault it.

Thanks very much for your comments. It really makes a difference to our hard working and caring staff team to receive thank yous like yours as the silent majority who are delighted with our services usually don't bother to say so! I will share your comments with my team and talk to our antenatal receptionists about how we can improve. Thank you. Gary Slevin, head of maternity unit.
