"Stay & Play"

My children today are enjoying playing in the water with glitter in it and fish and discovering new textures, materials and toys in the baby area.

I have 2 children aged 2 and a half & 5 months and have been coming to this session since July 2014. I travel nearly 8 miles to attend this session as it is one of the friendliest and most supportive of sessions I have ever been to in a surestart centre. I am fully supported and don't feel inadequate in dealing with my two children, often in different areas - staff will often recognise and support my son who is the older with play, as I deal with my baby.

I am a breastfeeding mother who is made to feel like I'm doing a good job. This session is a thriving session and we attend as regularly as we are able.

The staff are second to none, providing a wide variety of engaging activities for our children, open to suggestions and different ways of doing things, fun, friendly and most importantly approachable and are not condescending. There are other more local SureStart centres to me which are not as friendly and are condescending.

I will continue to come for as long as I am able because both myself and my children get a lot out of coming to this session.
