"Care form caring professional A&E Doctor and nurses"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to A&E for cardiac arrhythmia with a heartbeat of 180 per minute recently.

From the moment I was put in the care of super excellent team, I did not fear for my health no more. I knew I was in very good hands regardless of the seriousness of my condition, Dr Jonathan Couch (I believe it is his surname as I cannot really read his handwriting) and his 2 nurses Sarah and unfortunately I did not catch the other ladies name, were absolutely marvelous, they cared for me and kept me informed of what they were doing and what the next step would be, which was very reassuring as often doctors tell you nothing and just get on with their work.

My husband is not a very big fan of hospitals and was so amazed at not only the level of attention and professionalism of the doctor and nurses, but the cleanliness of the hospital. There was no overbearing smells which sometimes can just be a put off.

I am now home resting and know what to do next time I am experiencing similar symptoms, wont be panicking and know that I will be extremely well looked after if I ever have to be admitted again. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I am so pleased the staff cared for you so well - yes he is Dr Crouch. I do hope you continue to recover. Once again, thank you for taking the trouble to feedback.

Thank you so much for your kind comments about the staff at the William Harvey Hospital. It must have been really alarming for you and your husband for you to be admitted in those circumstances and I am glad to hear that you had the confidence in the care you received. It is important that all staff communicate well with patients so that they know what is to happen and why. Thank you also for commenting on those things that make up the 'complete package' - the cleanliness of the hospital, including the smell. Please accept our best wishes for your continued recovery.
