"A fun (yes!) experience"

About: Honiton Hospital

I took my 85-year-old mother to the MIU to have dressings and stitches looked after following a fall three days before. We didn't have to wait long and were seen by a wonderful nurse. Mum has a low pain threshold and was quite nervous but the nurse was so good - and funny! - about putting her at her ease, while gently dealing with the dressings. The nurse had us both in stitches (terrible pun, I know) and I cannot fault the care she received. Another nurse joined us and was lovely too. The NHS at its best - thank you.

Dear relative

I was really pleased to read that you had such a positive experience whilst taking your mother to the MIU at Honiton.

It's really important to put patients at ease and clearly on this occasion the nurses succeeded.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story, which I have shared with the nurse manager at Honiton MIU.

MAny thanks
