I recently spent time on ward 311 and found it to be a pleasant ward with good staff. The one that stood out for me though was the HCA. They introduced themselves straight away in such a cheery manner that made me feel welcome to be there, unlike some wards where they don't introduce themselves unless you ask and hardly say anything. The HCA was kind, considerate and very helpful....nothing was too much trouble for them. Even when they were busy, they still kept cheerful and helpful and never once said ' I will be back in a minute' never to return. They're a credit to the nursing profession.
