"Friendly but indifferent to my condition"

About: Wallingford Community Hospital

During a stay of a couple of months in the hospital, the staff were on the whole friendly and helpful. However, my condition deteriorated during my stay rather than improving. No-one seemed to be ambitious or encouraging, they were willing to let me stay in bed for days at a time without physiotherapy or other exercise/movement. During my stay I sometimes had to wait until lunchtime to be washed and dressed, and often was not shaved for several days at a time. At discharge, I was sent home with severe pressure sores , and with a UTI so was immediately admitted to the JR for further treatment, to recover from apparent lack of care in Wallingford. I would definitely not recommend this hospital to anyone, and hope I never have to go there again.
