"Waiting to be seen in the Dermatology department"

About: Withington Hospital

I suffer from severe eczema and have recently been referred to a specialist at Withington. Since being referred I have had two appointments about my skin. Both times, I have arrived early for my appointments. The first, I was 15 minutes early and the second time, I was over an hour early due to transport. Although I was early, both times I was still waiting an extra 30-45 minutes after my appointment time. The second time I was told it was due to my doctor being late however when speaking to a few patients they revealed their appointment time was 20-25 minutes after mine. Once our doctor had finally arrived, I was still seen last even though my appointment time was in fact earlier. When addressing the nurses behind the desk that I had work to go and was curious as to how long it would be until I was seen, they were incredibly rude and found their conversations about "hair" and "babies" more important. Although, this caused a huge issue and actually quite angered me, the doctor I saw was extremely helpful for me, it's just a shame they're located at Withington Hospital. I would not recommend anyone attend here and when being referred to the Dermatology department by your GP, I advise you to look into other hospitals first.
