"Offered treatment 38 miles away"

About: Wycombe Hospital

When I needed treatment at my local hospital I was told that repeat patients had to go to a private hospital 38 mile from where I live. Blakelands in Milton Keynes. Only new patients can be treated locally If you refuse, it's "ok" you declined treatment so we are not breaching our guidelines and may get round to treating you in 3-4 month's time My hospital is 3.3 miles away - 11 minutes by Car This is insane - The bus journey is 3xBuses and over 3 hours each way Taxi £95 each way Car Journey 38 miles - 1h 8 min off peak each way If you have someone take you they will be expected to wait around for 4-5 hours
