About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

I received a letter yesterday telling me that an appointment has been booked for me on the 21st July - when I am on holiday. Having spent a frustrating amount of time on hold I managed to get through to the neurology appointment booking service and tried to reschedule the appointment, to be told the next available appointment is not until September. If I had been given the choice to book the appointment myself using the eRS system now in use across the English NHS I could have chosen a date and time that suited me and wouldn't now be waiting an extra 6 weeks for my appointment - at an extremely anxious time when I am awaiting diagnosis of a serious and life-changing illness with no idea of my prognosis or any treatment options I have.
