Thank you and heartfelt appreciation for the 111 service and particularly to the out of hours doctors for their prompt and accurate assessment. Furthermore I was enabled to contact my GP on the following day and fast tracked to be admitted by ambulance to the St George’s hospital.
I was advised that this was ‘a good call’ by the unnamed consultant in the A&E department, and subsequently by the doctors on the ward, who informed me they had ‘got to me just in time’.
Following further investigation I am now on standby for a gall bladder removal which has been marked as urgent.
"Thank you and heartfelt appreciation for the 111 service and doctors"
