"Not able to contact hospital"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Medicine (Wards 9-12)

(as the patient),

I recently had tests at Hairmyers Hospital, which I need before I could have an appointment to receive treatment. I was told after I visited that I would be added to the waiting list, and I would receive treatment in early June.

Now I’ve received a letter, but instead of a notice for treatment, I’ve received an appointment for Monklands Hospital for the same tests I’ve had before.

I’ve tried calling Hairmyers to let them know of the mistake, but I’ve not been able to get through.

Dear Future79

I'm sorry you haven't been able to get in touch with us. I'm keen that we sort this out for you, however I would need you to get in touch with us directly to allow us to do that.

Could I ask you to phone Michelle Nobes, our Patient Affairs Manager, through Hairmyres switchboard on 01355 585 000. She will be able to help you with this.

Thanks

Susan
