"Thank you for treating my husband with respect"

About: University Hospital Lewisham / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a relative),

In June my husband was treated at Queen Elizabeth A &E and thereafter referred to the ENT department at Lewisham Hospital in the early hours of the early hours.

The service we received, from the triage nurse and doctor at Queen Elizabeth to the SAU unit at Lewisham Hospital, was second to none. The triage nurse at Queen Elizabeth, despite it being a busy Friday was extremely kind and very friendly. The A&E doctor was excellent, making us feel safe and that we were in excellent hands.

We honestly felt that we were lucky to receive such excellent service, but was pleasantly surprised when the service we received from Dr Crane at Lewisham exceeded our expectations. It was 4am in the morning and she treated us with so much respect and care, not even the drunk under police guard could make us feel that we were receiving anything but the best service from the most dedicated professionals.

My husband was then admitted to the SAU unit at Lewisham. We have nothing but praise for the night staff as well as the day staff. In a time when we hear so much negative stories about the NHS the Lewisham Greenwich Trust should be proud of its dedicated staff.

I would really like to see all these staff 'named and famed'. Unfortunately besides Dr Crane I am unable to name others but would really like to thank everyone for treating my husband with dignity and respect. Well done! !
