Earlier this month I was admitted to the surgical day unit for a planned procedure. In the morning. prior to this procedure I was seen by the anaesthetist, another doctor in the anaesthetist team and also the consultant who was to carry out the procedure. All explained what was going to happen and were very reassuring as I was very anxious about having a general anaesthetic. I found all the nursing staff very professional, caring and considerate both in the recovery room and in the ward.I had to stay in overnight as during the evening I felt unwell. The nurses promptly gave me oxygen, checked my blood pressure, my blood sugar level and arranged for a senior nurse to see me who arranged an ECG and I was also visited by a doctor at midnight. I am very happy with the care I received.
"Excellent care"
