"Forty years on"

About: Royal United Hospital

I have seen RUH continue to strive for excellence. I have always been proud of the RUH and personally spent many years experience as a patient and parent. Over this time, I feel I qualify as being a RUH fellow member of public who speak from the heart and mind. I can of course give examples of highs and lows throughout my time at RUH. The highs come once in the hospital for treatment, which far outweigh any bad experiences. Once in hospital, care and efficiency, support and dedication changes immediately everything comes hand in hand through the doctors, nurses and support teams, who work tirelessly for us all. Teamwork and management exemplar and flawless. The lows mainly being through administration and communications errors. Often, when you're ill or a worrying parent, you are relying totally on competency and efficiency. If this fails, the matter explodes into sheer exhaustion and hell. The worry exacerbates to undescribable stress and anxiety. I believe the errors I and my daughter experienced are and were quick fixes. Above is a summary and I hope you receive this in the purpose it is meant for: to help and offer hands on feedback towards improving services and quality. Identifying what works and what could be done better through listening and learning from the service user. It is comments of experiences and not criticism.
