"Better planning of routes would help"

In order to stay in my own home I have carers 4 times a day. For the most part the system works well. I do like to have the same carers coming in as we build up a relationship. I receive a weekly timetable but sometimes the carer is changed and I'm not always notified.

I like to know of any changes in times but, again, this doesn't always happen. Some of the carers walk from client to client and I feel their "walking time" is not taken into consideration and impinges on my "caring time". Perhaps better planning of routes would help.

It would be good to meet the "Office Staff" - perhaps they could visit the clients to better understand their needs and where they live.

Thank you for sharing your experience of Elite Care with us. It is disappointing and frustrating to see that basic communication between the branch offices and yourself is letting down what would appear to otherwise be an effective service.

If you are able to contact me directly on 07713 374709 or 01334 472834 I would be very happy to discuss your concerns further. In the meantime I will be reminding all office based staff of the importance of notifying our clients of any changes to their support and I take on board your observation of the lack of travelling time for staff who are walkers. I take all the comments on 'Care Opinion' very seriously and will be following this up as effectively as possible. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
