"ward three admission"

About: South Tyneside District Hospital

I went into hospital in March 6-7 weeks pregnant in a moderate amount of pain (was not stopping me being mobile) and bleeding (my guess at the time was miscarriage) I was seen by the a n e staff who as I thought didn't seem to think there was much wrong with me I was told i was being admitted to ward 3 but I could drive home and take key home and get bits and pieces that I needed drove home and drove back. Things then started getting serious as I nearly passed out and started being sick was admitted straight to the ward. the registrar at the time was remarkable I have since seen her during my pregnancy I am currently having she told me that she thought it was ectopic pregnancy and that I would go for emergency surgery every thing happened in a whirlwind. I didn't believe that it could be that as I was not in a lot of pain once I woke up I saw the same registrar and they informed me that it was ectopic and that my tube had ruptured and that I suffered a litre and a half of blood loss if it was not for the registrar noticing the symptoms I could have been dead so I thank them for everything and most importantly for saving my life. the staff on the night round made sure I was comfortable and that I had pain medication and also sleeping tablets as I could not get to sleep cannot fault the staff one little bit
