It is expensive. Your website states an average of £1.40 per hour. Winchester City Centre is currently £1.30 per hour and free on Sunday. This hits patients visiting Paediatric Intensive Care particularly hard as only one visitor plus parent allowed at bedside. To make matters worse, people trying to avoid paying, double parked on the double red lines outside the Eye Unit last Sunday (6th June). They blocked the lowered curb, so we were unable to get our daughter in a wheeled chair from RM House into the Eye Unit side entrance on route to the main hospital without her getting out and us Lifting the chair. She was using the chair as she was only one week post emergency C section delivery. I have received a text from my daughter this morning to tell us that she heard from a sister looking after our grandson last night that it was possible to get prepaid parking tickets for £14 from the traffic office next to the multi-storey car park. Why have we only just found out about this? So far, two visits to Princess Ann & two to RM House have cost over £20. Our son in law has spent over £100 since 28 May between Princess Ann and RM House. The latest prognosis is that our grandson could need to be in PICU for another three months. Our daughter is planning on leaving RM House this weekend and commuting daily from Winchester, so we need to get something sorted to make the parking affordable.
