"Good equipment-staff not enough"

About: White Cross Rehabilitation Hospital

The care is good here but the level of treatment is very skimpy. A maximum of an hour a day was offered-some days this was not available or less without notice. No treatment at all at weekends and public holidays. Result- patients left to sit on their own for 23 hours a day apart from meals and medication. Staff are busy and buzzers always to be answered. This means that often no-one is there to help with basic routines. Equipment was moved by cleaners so it was unreachable, then taken away completely without any explanation so exercises could not be done. This facility needs a good shake up and re-organising. Staff routinely park all over the pavements nearby and use the disabled bay so it is extremely difficult for wheelchair users to access.
