"Pharmacy staff at eye infirmary"

About: Sunderland Eye Infirmary

My husband had to pick some medication up at the eye infirmary pharmacy after his appointment, which was a very good service, the pharmacist was lovely, sadly the same cannot be said for the pharmacy staff. I know that the staff in the pharmacy are preparing medications for the wards as well as the public and that the 1 pharmacist was checking all medication, but while waiting at the hatch not one member of staff acknowledged we were there or had the manners to give us eye contact, I found them to be rude ignorant and very very very slow taking 40 minutes to be given only 2 items. These staff were of an age were decency and manners should be second nature, sadly not on this day

We are extremely sorry to hear of you and your husband's experience of service at the Pharmacy at Sunderland Eye Infirmary. Whilst there can sometimes be a delay in dispensing medications, the poor communication and customer service you experienced is not what we would expect. Please be assured we will share your comments with the staff in the department in order that they are able to learn from your feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies.
