(as a volunteer/advocate),

I currently volunteer at hucknall children's centre, helping out at the monthly dad's group and family fun days. I am not working at the moment so volunteering gives me a sense of purpose and stops me getting too bored.

The staff are really friendly and always chat to me when I go into the centre and this makes me feel valued as a volunteer.

It's nice to see a dad's group as, when my children were younger, there wasn't such groups and I would have liked to have taken mine to such a group so that I could meet other dads and talk about dad stuff.

Thank you so much for your comment, it is great to hear you enjoy the volunteering role you have gained at Hucknall, I know the staff work hard to ensure all our volunteers are supported as much as possible and it is clearly giving you some experience whilst you are not in work.

We really could not do all we do without our amazing volunteers so thank you so much for the time you offer us we very much value your involvement.

The dad's group is a great group, offering dad's 'DAD' time with their children, I have seen some of the planning of this group in the offices at Hucknall and it looks very interesting, I am glad we have such a wonderful volunteer supporting this group, I know the staff really welcome volunteers in all our groups you are all really very much part of our Children's Centre team and I hope the experience offers you opportunities when new jobs come up, I am sure it will.
