"Due to having Prostate Cancer ..."

What I liked

Due to having Prostate Cancer I am currently being seen by three hospitals and had to

go to the North Middlesex for eight weeks on a daily basis while having Radiotherapy.

I found the staff to be very cheerful and pleasant and the whole place to be clean.

A big thank you to all the staff in the radiography department who were always very jovial and caring.

Over the eight week period I was seen on time and on some occasions I was called in early so really I cant fault them.

They spent amazing care in the planning stage and it really gave me confidence as they showed how professional they could be so when it got to the radiotherapy stage I was not at all worried and I knew I was in good hands.

Due to the way they run the tests they will not confirm if the treatment was a success

until I have a clear PSA test for the next year or so but all the indications are that I am Cancer free.

What could be improved

They have major building work going on and when that has been completed things are bound to get better.

Anything else?

Over the time I did speak to a fair number of out-patients and they were all full of praise for the work of the staff.

They have a very helpful PALS Unit { Patient Advice and Liaison Service } who I was able to contact by e-mail and they sorted out the query within the hour { which is excellent service by any means }
