I was originally booked in for the op on 12th May but it was cancelled the day before due to the theatre having technical problems(????) Although really inconvenient due to having made arrangements for cover at work for 2 weeks it wasn't the end of the world. Next day I got a call to rebook me in on 21st May. All went ahead although the original time of 7.30 am was changed to 12.30. Waited all day, finally went down about 4pm. Had excess bleeding during op so had to be booked in instead of going home same day. Kept in for 2 extra days as a precaution. Finally came home lunchtime on 23rd. Although it was all quite traumatic & frustrating I can honestly say the staff were really lovely. Felt looked after & was given items to wash with, toothpaste & brush etc as I had nothing with me. Had my own room which was lovely. Lots of tea during the night as I couldn't sleep. Food was not very good, reminded me of old school dinners. All in all I was happy with it all.
