What I liked

I had surgery in urology, my first pre-assessment lasted just 10 minutes but the wait was 3 hours - enough for my parking ticket to expire! I was bored rigid with only a small TV showing BBC mid day programs but the staff were nice and helpful. I went into surgery at the same unit and I was in surgery within 1hr of my "time of surgery" everyone was amazingly nice and helpful and the ward was cleaner than I ever expected. The staff checked on me often after I woke up and even brought me biscuits and a drink (free!) and an hour later I was off.

What could be improved

The waiting time was ridiculous for pre-assessment but it was very busy. Everything else was spot on.

Anything else?

I was in the "new" Block 6 which was absolutely spotless, but for your own sake bring something to read!
