I would like to leave a very positive review regarding the treatment I received on the Planned Orthopaedic Unit over the last weekend. I came in with suspected appendicitis on Friday evening, and was of course feeling very ill and also worried about what was happening to me. The entire staff on this unit couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful, professional, considerate, and compassionate about the treatment they gave me, and from what I saw, all the other patients on this ward. Under sometimes challenging working conditions, they were always there with a reassuring word, and would go out of their way to help in any way they could. In what was a very trying situation for me, they made my stay on the unit as comfortable as they possibly could, and I am truly greatful to each person, from the cleaners, all the nursing staff, through to the staff nurses. Ultimately I had to have an operation to remove my appendix on Saturday and the care I received through this, down to the reassuring chat in the lift down to the operating theatre really helped! Also the dignity and care I received post operative was second to none! I would also like to give my thanks to the excellent surgical team who treated me, they were fantastic too! So thank you for all your help! What a fantastic team!
"Extremely satisfied with my treatment!"
