I think, unlike the previous person, that the drop in Physiotherapy service is completely sensible, well managed and frankly hugely helpful to have as well as usual appointment. Where else can you be seen by qualified people, in the space of one or two hours, immediately and with self referral? Cutting out the need to see the doctor (when you know basically you have an injury but not what to do about it) and so avoid wasting someone's time is excellent. I have had to use the drop in service twice now - both times I got there around 8 and was lucky as I was seen both times - the first time with no wait at all and the second time with a one hour wait in which I read my book. Both times, the physios were great - gave me quality time and attention and hugely importantly a list of exercises to do, printed out which helps with those with five million other things to do and on their mind.
