"Day Surgery a Unit ENT, Ward 5 inpatient"

Wednesday 20th May 2015 ENT Procedure I recently visited Heartlands hospital day surgery unit for an ENT procedure. I would just like to express my thanks to the unit, the consultant and team, the anaesthetist and team and ward 5. They were amazing! I was a very nervous and anxious patient it was my first experience of GA and hospital stay. The short time I was at the day surgery unit was brilliant. They put me at ease and went above and beyond their duty. The sister in charge came to the theatre with me and stayed until I was asleep which again provided reassurance. They went above and beyond to make sure I was ok and my family were too. The staff from the unit even came up to ward 5 to see me following my procedure. The unit itself was spotless and the staff all introduced themselves and explained all information. The consultant and their team were also amazing!! Great to talk to and lots of time explaining and answering questions I had. The consultant and their team went out of their way to reassure me. The anaesthetist and their team were equally as brilliant really looked after me and spent time reassuring me. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff! My inpatients stay was good on ward 5-Thank you. I would recommend the team and hospital to family and friends. I feel the staff do not get enough credit for the wonderful work they do!! As a nurse myself I would be proud to deliver that standard of care to my patients. Thank you!
