"pain management."

About: Orsett Hospital

Following an episiotomy delivery almost 9 years ago, I have been left in chronic pain. And this affects my daily life so much. I'm not one to go to the doctors but over the years I’ve been backwards and forwards to see various consultants, pain management at Colchester hospital and had some procedures. At point I’ve felt like I was going crazy and no-one could help me. I was so fit and healthy before my beautiful baby boy and ran my own business and like to think I have a high pain threshold but this chronic pain has dragged my bubbly personality down. I came to Orsett in December 2014 and within 3 months had a run of nerve block with the consultant and since then have had some sort of quality of life back. I still have pain but no way on the scale of before. Everyone on the ward was extremely good and I can’t thank my consultant enough. I would like to get to the bottom of my pain reason for good but for now thank goodness I have some relief from 8 and a half years of pain. A huge thank you to the consultant and their team, from me for listening, and a special mention to the nurse with the consultant on my initial visit to clinic December 2014 (I think this was the 11th December), apologies I can’t remember your name but you explained everything and were so lovely and reassured me about my procedure.
