Over a period of ten years or so I have been suffering with problems when swallowing food, many visits to my G. P. , finally referred to a G. I consultant in FVRH, within a period of a few weeks I have had tests (barium swallow and endoscopy) and have had a diagnosis!
This may start to sound like a complaint, but FAR FROM IT!
Dr Siddhi, has been fantastic, organising the tests to confirm his diagnosis, in a timely and efficient manner, Dr Patterson was great in the endoscopy, taking time to explain things to me, but a special thanks from me to the nurse in the ambulatory care unit, Cairsti (sorry if I have spelled this wrong! ), her cheery disposition put me at ease, her care throughout the procedure was OUTSTANDING, she is, for me, what every nurse should be, thank you.
Although I have a ways to go for full treatment, I cannot thank the G. I. Clinic enough. It is a blessed relief to be finally diagnosed, long may this continue.
