What I liked
Nursing care was very good. Plastics nurses, especially Senior, were excellent in their approach. I was always kept informed of their actions, the whys and wherefors. I have stayed at various London hospitals though I think I received best wound care here.
Physiotherapy for Amputees is first class. If only one wasn't hastened towards the door at such an early stage (mainly by consultants) one could rehabilitate fully under such care. Highly recommended.
The hospital food is excellent and is very complimentary to a recovery situation. Other London Hospitals take note!
What could be improved
Mt attention by the plastics team was poor. Only one doctor in a large team gave me reason to believe all that I heard. I felt detached from my consultant. The team is too large and disparate. It's not surprising given this that at ward round you might get a registrar or doctor who isn't familiar with your case. Shorten the line between consultant and patient and increase visibility would help here.
Anything else?
great views and location.
