Good Afternoon You Amazing People,
Just recently an appointment was made by Dr Bailey for me to have surgery at the Royal Surrey, which at the time filled me with the fear of God, as I've never been in hospital let alone an operation.
I had to attend a pre-assessment a few days earlier and then attended the Elective Surgery unit. Once registered I can quite honestly say my stress levels were high and as the day wore on it went through the roof. While waiting, I was seen by a student nurse Liam, Dr Bailey and his assistant and shortly after the anesthetist, who in there own way tried to put me at ease.
When the time actually arrived I was very worried.... the point I'm trying to make is that your teams in the Elective unit, the guys who took me down, the anesthetist team all of them are fantastic, I can not show my gratitude and thanks for their care and bedside manor. I know this is pretty much routine for them but even so people are quick enough to complain and very slow to show there appreciation.
If at all possible please pass on my sincere thanks to all the team, I'm six foot high and six foot wide and they took great care of me.
My sincere thanks...!
"All of the team were fantastic"
