"Cataract and Macular Hole Surgery - 26/3/2015"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

Grateful thanks to all the staff in Maidstone Ophthalmology especially the consultant and their team for their expert care. I am pleased with the result of my operation. Everything was explained to me on my first visit and I was able to follow the posturing instructions post operation. The gas bubble was difficult at first but I was soon used to seeing over it and at about 5 weeks a small satellite bubble appeared then, after a deep sleep, dispersed completely. I took Paracetamol for the initial discomfort and continued with eye drops for for 4weeks. I have already seen my Optician who was pleased with the result as they had recognised the hole originally. (Next clinical review 3/9/2015) Well done Maidstone! Jean Hill.
