What I liked

The Gynae team were excellent.

The upper GI team and endoscopy day unit were excellent,

What could be improved

The lower GI team have a lot to improve upon compared to other departments. I felt they were too busy to listen to me and I didn't feel heard when I was discussing my problem with the specialist. I also felt that they had diagnosed me from my referral letter before I entered the room amd then spent the appointment making my current symptoms fit what thy thought was the problem rather than listening to what the problem actually was. Consequently, my GP isn't happy and has referred me elsewhere for second opinion.

Anything else?

I do not like the system of central booking - it is so frustrating as a patient that you cannot talk to someone from the department you have been referred to. Sometimes you have a question that can't be answered unless it's by the local department.
