I am a young women who had never before been admitted into hospital and I have fears and anxiety when it comes to medical things. I was admitted with abdominal pain and stayed in ward 31 for 3 days and was transferred to 32 for 11 days. The entire staff on ward 32 in particular are a credit to their profession. I was kept calm and felt like I was safe and cared for at all times. Although I had a rather unpleasant experience during my endoscopy, the ward sister was only too happy to deal with my situation and follow through with my complaint, resulting in a very positive outcome. My condition was not fully diagnosed (I have pancreatitis with an unknown cause as of yet) but I constantly felt important and I was treated with the upmost dignity and respect. Thank you very much to all staff on both wards!
