I cannot thank the staff at Leicester Royal enough. My world turned upside down when my perfect 8 week old baby girl was rushed into hospital. The paramedics were wonderful so calm and collected - exactly what you need when you are in a panic. We were assessed as soon as we arrived and the doctor that we saw was lovely - kept us fully in the loop as the staff tried to establish what was wrong. We were taken up to the high dependency unit where we met an amazing team of nurses - I refused to leave my babies bedside all night and the nurse we had (I wish I could remember names) was brilliant - again the nurse was calm and took me through exactly what was happening and what everything meant (I had so many questions!). After 24 hours my little one had made a little bit more progress and so we were moved to a ward - it was so nice to be able to hold my baby in my arms and know she was going to be OK. We stayed in for 2 more nights and to be honest when we were discharged I felt a little lost as the hospital has become like home. Throughout the time we had had many different nurses but all were fabulous and like I said I can't thank them enough!
