Going to day care makes me come out of the house – it gives me a reason to wash my face and get dressed. I look forward to coming. If I didn’t come I would be sitting at home watching TV

I used to go to night classes at Lochgelly centre but I don’t like going out at night now

There are not always a lot of people to talk to at the day centre, a lot of people can’t hear well or have dementia. I don’t do many activities, I colour in. I used to knit a lot but I haven’t for a long time. I would like to do ballroom dancing

Thank you for letting me know how you feel about day care, I am pleased that you look forward to attending each week.

Regarding the activities, I note that you would like to do ballroom dancing, I can certainly speak to the staff regarding adding more music and dancing on to the activities agenda. You also say that sometimes the people you sit with don't have a lot to say or are hard of hearing, please speak to the day care co-ordinator's (in private if you wish) as you are free to move to any table where there is space.
