"uncaring"

About: East Surrey Hospital

Am waiting for botox into bladder op pre assessment say i have to stay overnight have various medical problems. February, operation cancelled March cancelled, April I had to cancel due to uti. Am sent on 19/4/15 New date 29/5/15. Arriving home yesterday I have a letter dated 19/5/15 cancelling yet again my operation. I rang to be told as it is the bank.holiday weekend they will get extra patients so my bed is needed. Excuse me but they must have known bank holiday dates when they gave me May appointment in April. I self catherise at moment up to 9 times daily. Botox it was agreed with the consultant should be yearly but every year is usually 18 or more months from last dose. Consequently it doesn't have the desired long term effect. I am a wheelchair user most departments I am treated badly left to wait for treatment for months. Two week rule referred in March for rodent ulcer on nose month later biopsy done I have had to.phone Secretary who is a kind understanding person only one I have ever spoken to at east surrey. Somewhere letter waiting to be typed they read put what is in it and has arranged appointment but not till 19 June some 3 months down line I have another lump on lip GP says they sent referral ESH but today a month later suddenly it's the ha ha two weeks rule so eventually will need another appointment and biopsy and probably 2 surgeries to get rid of theses basal cell carcinoma. It will altogether be some 7 - 8 months to get all sorted. I think.it very unfair and uncaring to be treated this way. It's back to if you fit into certain criteria then you seem to get treatment but if you have other less known illness already I am.passed over. In 2013 I got no botox or 2012 as I did not fit the criteria. It's to stupid for words the hospital is very uncaring. Argues mum
