"Son broken arm"

About: Kettering General Hospital

Son broke arm on Saturday given an appointment for Tuesday, waited about 50mins not a problem you expect a wait. When we get seen was told we shouldn't have been given an appointment for Tuesday should have been in a weeks time, so why wasn't I contacted to say as long as you are happy no need to come in as they had already discussed my child's arm in a morning meeting, time off school, time off work without pay... I was told to go to reception and make another appointment for next week to which I was greeted with the rudest receptionist didn't even make eye contact and told put to put my paperwork there... I explained I needed an appointment for next week to which they replied yeah and so are all them so it needs to go on the pile and it will be posted to you. To which I said thank you so much for you help and walked away again they never even looked up from the computer. Let's hope next weeks appointment goes a bit better

I am sorry to hear of your unpleasant experience during your son’s recent appointment. I would like to investigate your concerns. Please could you contact our Patient Advise and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01536 493305, who will be able to put you through to me directly so we can discuss your concerns in more detail. I hope your son is recovering well. Tina Robinson Frank Radcliffe Clinic Matron
