"Exceptional"

About: Grantham & District Hospital

Exceptional from the moment I arrived from surgery (hip replacement). I was treated with great care by all of the orthopaedic team on Ward 2. I went in on Friday and home on Monday with a brand new hip. If you have to go into hospital opt for Grantham and if its Ward2 then you have hit the jackpot. However, there is a gremlin in the system, Hospital Transport from an outside provider. I was booked for a lift back to Lincoln at 2pm,was told they could do it at 4pm, I was still waiting at 6.30pm, and was finally picked up by a taxi at 6.40pm. This in no way is a reflection on the Ward 2 team. Perhaps the powers that be should look at that particular transport provider. Final comment. Well done the Ward2 team

I would like to say thank you on behalf of all the staff on ward 2. We do our best to ensure all our patients receive the best care we can give - this really lifts our spirits - all the staff will be thrilled with your comments. It really makes our jobs worthwhile to be appreciated with everything else going on in the NHS now.
