"The level of care was exceptional"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

My elderly mother attended A&E on an extremely busy evening, having had a fall and fracturing her femur. Despite the department being very busy we were dealt with respectfully and very professionally. My mother was spoken to and was informed of all actions. The staff, especially the Consultant and two HCA's dealing with my mother mainly were wonderful and a credit to their profession.

Dear Sir / Madam, Really sorry to hear about your Mother's fall and hip fracture - what a frightening time for her ? I am delighted that you found the care in A&E to be exceptional and that all the staff concerned treated your Mother with respect and compassion. I will make sure your review is passed on to the team - in a very busy environment when they are used to seeing so many people in a day - it means a great deal to them to know what a difference their care made.
