"Patients experience of Porchester Ward"

About: Forensic mental health / Low secure services

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Patients were asked on Porchester if they wished to post an opinion about their experience of life on Porchester ward. Three patients responded with the following comments.

1. Can the wards have smart phone access more frequently?

2. I think Rachel [Patient Activity Nurse] is cool!

3 I enjoyed the snooker trip on Porchester ward.

Thank you for your feedback. Good to hear you particulalry enjoyed the snooker trip and appreciate the work Rachel does to ensure there is plenty of activity to enjoy.

I will ask Sian (Ward Manager) to discuss the frequency of smart phone access when she returns from holiday. As you know smart phone access is limited to time where staff can supervise (so can't promise anything). I would as an alternative advise you to use one of the hospital provided mobile phones. In this way you may have unlimited access throughout the day to talk or text.
