"felt safe and looked after"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

Was admitted to Carlisle A and E with chest pain. Whilst on holiday in Lake District. From the supherb ambulance staff and the lovely doctors and nurses I felt in very capable hands. I was quickly seen by nurse and doctor and reassured. Unfortunately I had to remain in A and E all night because there were no beds in main hospital available till 8 am. These nurses worked so hard and kept pleasant and cheerful all night. I was offered food and hot drinks and kept warm. The only downside was the clutter and paraphernalia blocking some corridors making it difficult to get to the toilet. But thank you everyone for looking after me .

Thank you for taking the time to make a comment. It is levely to hear that you recieved excellent service. I am sorry you had to rmain in A&E overnight but very pleased you experienced good care. I will pass your comments to the A&E staff and ask that they look into what is stored within the corridors. Many thanks Helen North Cumbria University Hospitals Trust.
