I feel the need to contact you regarding the treatment my wife has received @ the GWH and the Churchill hospital in Oxford. My wife was diagnosed with oesophagus cancer and had to go under a great deal of treatment in Swindon and a major operation @ Oxford, being diagnosed with cancer is a very difficult thing to have to deal with for the patient and the family. I can honestly say we were given the best possible treatment and support that was far beyond our expectations all the staff we had contact with were just fantastic and helped my wife and my family through what I can only describe as our worst ever year. The staff in the Ospray ward were so comforting and made us feel so well looked after and comfortable, every contact we have had we had the best possible care given to us I wish I could back track and personally thank them all (in Swindon and Oxford) In Oxford my wife had to have an MRI scan and she was terrified as she is claustrophobic and the staff from reception through to the scan operators went in my view out of their way to get her through the process that is just one section of her treatment and I can say this came through with every person we have dealt with (I wish I could name them all) The Radiology team were equal to everyone else as we had to undergo five weeks of chemotherapy and radiotherapy having to deal with the machines breaking down and the staff still giving comfort and exceptional care was unbelievable. Please please pass on my heartfelt thanks to every on concerned as I believe they all deserve the recognition that the service they provide is second to none, that also came across from other patients We spoke with during our treatment, we are not the only ones who are grateful. Kindest regards, Mike K.
