What I liked
When I seen to some of the nurses were fantastic. The hospital was clean and I saw cleaners around each day.
What could be improved
Initially when I was admitted to A&E I was asked to sit in chairs which I could not do as I was in such extreme pain from a gallstone attack, I was writhing on the floor in agony. Several nurses and doctors walked by and did nothing and asked nothing. Then finally a doctor from another department asked my husband if I was ok which he clearly replied that I was in exceptional pain and she quickly got me on a stretcher and seen to by emergency staff. When I received my meals they were High fat which causes huge problems with gallstones, when queried no other option was offered. I was intially told that I would be given an appt for outpaitient surgery in 6 weeks and this did not materialise. I have been in and out of A&E and trying to push for a surgery date (as surely that would be much less of a waste of NHS money than to constantly have me in A&E) and been told that this would happen and it has not. It seems that resources and time could be better used and organised.
