"Minor surgery"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

I was admitted to the Sandbourne Suite yesterday to have a couple of bumps removed, this however required anaesthetic. From start to finish I was treated with care and kindness. The surgeon, registrar and the anaesthetist all came and explained exactly what their role was going to be. The care continued as I was being woken and when I said that I was cold, a covering was put over me and warm air was pumped into the blanket. All the staff worked as a team, and were cheerful at all times. Brilliant. Thank you so much.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for your comments about your treatment in the Sandbourne Suite as it is always good to hear from our patients about the care they receive. It was excellent to read that from start to finish you were treated with care and kindness with thorough explanations from all the doctors who attended you. I am pleased to hear also that when you woke up feeling cold the nurses promptly gave you an additional blanket and pumped warm air in to keep you warm. I will share your kind comments with the Charge Nurse and his team Regards Sue Mellor Head of Patient Engagement
