I recently went to the endoscopy department as a day for a gastroscopy and cannot praise the staff enough especially the endoscopy nurse who carried out the procedure. This nurse took time to explain everything and was so reassuring. Although an uncomfortable procedure to have done with a throat spray, a member of staff kept me calm throughout. After it finished two staff members were so caring and again took time to tell me the results. In the recovery room once again the staff were extremely efficient friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend Blackburn hospital and thank my lucky stars that we still have a wonderful NHS service. Thanks to all the staff.
