"Thanks"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I write in behalf of my 88 year old mother in law, who had cause to visit the A&E department a few weeks ago, accompanying her husband, Frank, who had suffered what appeared to be a serious heart attack at home. My mother in law and the neighbour who transported her were met at the hospital by her son and all spoke very highly of the professionalism, care and support offered during the brief time they were at the hospital. Sadly Frank died shortly after arriving at the hospital, but what was a traumatic and very sad experience for all concerned was most certainly made more bearable by the way in which it was managed by all staff in attendance. On behalf of my mother in law and her family I would like to say "Thank you".

Dear Anon

The A&E team will be so pleased to read these thoughtful comments, thank you for taking the time to post them at what must be a traumatic time for the family. I will share this with the whole team but if you want me to share this with the individuals involved I will need Frank’s details, these can be shared with Sharon.Kidd@ulh.nhs.uk and she will pass them directly to me.

Regards

Karen Hansord – A&E Sister
