I was taken to the Royal by paramedic ambulance on thur the 07/05/2015 where I was taken straight into resus for evaluation, suffering with a severe chest complaint. I was diagnosed within two hours and then taken to the medical assessment unit where I spent the next two days.I was then transferred onto ward Y6 which is for respiratory complaints. I was in their care for the next three days. From the time I got out of the ambulance to my point of discharge,i was treated with the utmost level of professionalism and courtesy by staff that went about their work always with a smile on their face despite being some of the hardest working people I have witnessed. Everybody from the bottom to the top are a true credit to the hospital and to themselves. The whole place was spotlessly clean, the wards comfortable and the food was good, chosen from an extensive menu, all which made my stay so much more pleasant and reassuring. I was kept informed of my progress and any procedures I was to go through at every step of the way in a dignified and private manner. I was discharged on mon 11/05/2015. All in all, well done the royal and a big thank you from me.
