"Immunisations for my Autistic child"

About: Bromley Healthcare / School Nursing

(as a parent/guardian),

The school nursing team very kindly arranged for my son with Autism to have his year 10 immunisations at a clinic at Beckenham Beacon rather than at school. He suffers from anxiety and could not cope with having them at his school. The school nursing team were sympathetic from the start, putting my son at ease and making the whole experience go smoothly. I cannot thank them enough for making a potentially stressful and upsetting situation into a calm experience.

I am really glad that we were able to support your son during what must have been such a stressful time for both him and you! It is so importnat to treat everyone as you would like to be treated yourself and this is clearly what the Schoool Nurses did.

I will forward your thanks onto the School Nursing team.

Can I ask you to do a reply posting if you think that there was anything we could improve on?

Kind regards

Amanda
